Our Programmes

Online Quran and Arabic Courses for Non-Native Speakers

Seven structured programmes, taught one-to-one over Zoom by named, qualified teachers at a real academy in Cairo. Every course is built for students who do not speak Arabic at home — not translated from a course made for those who do.

No card details. No obligation. A level assessment is included in the trial.

1

Family One

The Holy Quran

Three programmes, from correcting the letters to holding a certified chain of transmission.

Children and adults

Quran Recitation and Tajweed

Our largest programme. You learn the rules of Tajweed and apply them out loud, verse by verse, with a teacher who corrects you in the moment rather than at the end of the month.

  • Theory and applied recitation together
  • Tuhfat Al-Atfal for younger students
  • Al-Jazariyyah for advanced study
  • Meaning explained, not only pronunciation

Any level, from the first surah to fluent recitation.

Children and adults

Hifz — Quran Memorisation

A structured memorisation plan built around your pace and your week, with fixed revision so that what is memorised stays memorised. Tajweed correction runs alongside it.

  • A written plan with a realistic target
  • A new portion plus scheduled revision
  • Progress reported to parents
  • Short-surah track for younger beginners

Best started once the student can read Arabic script. Full Hifz programme details.

Advanced adults

Ijazah and the Ten Qiraat

The most demanding programme we offer, and the rarest. You study towards a certified Ijazah with a teacher who holds one, through a connected chain of transmission.

  • Hafs from Asim, then the wider Qiraat
  • Minor and major Ijazah routes
  • Taught by holders of the Ten Qiraat
  • A long commitment, honestly assessed first

Requires accurate recitation before you begin.

2

Family Two

The Arabic Language

From recognising the letters to holding a conversation. This is where most non-Arab families begin.

Beginners, mostly children

Reading and Writing — Noorani Qaida

The traditional foundation. The student learns to recognise, pronounce and join Arabic letters until reading becomes automatic, using Al-Qaidah Al-Nooraniyyah and Noor Al-Bayan.

  • Letters, vowels, joining and syllables
  • Correct articulation from the first lesson
  • Writing practice alongside reading
  • The usual entry point for young children

No previous Arabic needed at all.

Children and adults

Arabic Levels — Beginner to Advanced

A graded programme in Modern Standard Arabic covering listening, speaking, reading and writing, using Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk and structured grammar and morphology.

  • Placed at your real level after assessment
  • All four language skills developed together
  • Grammar taught to be used, not recited
  • Suits students aiming to read Arabic texts

Complete beginners are welcome.

Mostly adults

Arabic Conversation

For students who can read but freeze when they have to speak. Sessions are built around talking, with correction that does not stop the conversation dead.

  • Speaking from the first session
  • Practical vocabulary you will actually use
  • Listening trained alongside speaking
  • Confidence before perfection

Best after basic reading is in place.

3

Family Three

Islamic Studies

Mainly children

Islamic Studies

Aqeedah, worship, seerah and manners, taught at the level of the child and in language they follow. It works well beside a Quran or Arabic course rather than instead of one.

  • Age-appropriate throughout
  • Pairs naturally with Tajweed or Hifz
  • Questions welcomed and answered
Undecided?

Not sure which course fits

Most families are not sure, and that is normal. Book the free trial and choose Not sure — assess my level. The teacher will assess the level in the session and recommend the right starting point, with no pressure to continue.

What every course includes

Whichever programme you choose, these do not change.

  • One-to-one lessons — never a shared class you did not ask for
  • A named teacher — with a published qualification, not an anonymous profile
  • Your timezone — lessons scheduled around your week, not around Cairo
  • A free teacher change — at any time, if the match is not right
  • Progress updates — so parents know exactly where their child is
  • Female teachers on request — for sisters and for girls

Who teaches these courses

We name our teachers and publish what they hold, because in this field that is the only claim worth making.

  • Sheikh Abdelfattah Mostafa Haykal — teacher at Al-Azhar, holds the ten Qiraat, international recitation judge, member of the review committee for the Ummah Mushaf
  • Dr. Maysara Yusuf Hajjo — PhD in the Qiraat; the Ten Minor, the Ten Major and the Four Zawaid
  • Dr. Emad Sobhy — certified in the Ten Qiraat
  • Sheikh Mohammed — Azhari, with Ijazah in Tajweed
  • Mr. Khaled — Arabic for non-native speakers

Meet them all on our teachers page, or read about the academy on our About page.

Questions about the courses

My child speaks no Arabic at all. Where do we start?
With Reading and Writing (Noorani Qaida). It assumes nothing, and it is the entry point for most of the children we teach. The trial lesson confirms it before you commit.
Can we combine two courses?
Yes, and many families do — Quran with Islamic Studies, or Hifz with Arabic. Tell us when you book and we will build one schedule rather than two.
Do the teachers speak English?
Yes. Explanations and corrections are given in English, so a student who speaks no Arabic can follow the lesson from the first minute.
Are female teachers available for girls?
Yes, on request, for sisters and for girls. Please mention it when you book so we match the teacher correctly from the first lesson.

Start with one free lesson
