These terms apply when you book a class or use this website. By booking a trial or enrolling, you agree to them.
About us
Musk Academy (دار مسك) teaches the Holy Quran, Tajweed, Arabic and Islamic Studies online. Our address is 13 Mohamed Hassan Street, 10th District, Nasr City, Cairo 11528, Egypt.
The free trial
Your first class is a free 30-minute session including a level assessment. No payment or card details are required for it. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
Trial times depend on teacher availability in your timezone. We confirm the exact time with you on WhatsApp before the class.
Booking and attendance
- Lessons are one-to-one and held online by video call.
- Please be ready at the agreed time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without telling us, the lesson may be counted as taken.
- To reschedule or cancel, please tell us at least 12 hours in advance so the teacher’s time can be offered to another student.
- If a teacher misses a lesson or it is cut short for a reason on our side, we will make up the full lesson at no extra cost.
Payment
Fees, the number of lessons and the length of each lesson are agreed with you in writing before you enrol. Payment is made in advance for the agreed period. We will tell you before any change to your fees, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Students under 18
A parent or legal guardian must arrange lessons for a student under 18 and is responsible for payment. We ask that a parent remains contactable during a child’s lesson. Female teachers are available for sisters and children on request.
What we expect from each other
We will provide qualified teachers, keep to the agreed schedule as far as we reasonably can, and treat every student with respect and patience.
We ask that you treat teachers with the same respect, do not record lessons without permission, and do not share lesson materials or teacher contact details publicly.
We may end lessons without refund for abusive behaviour towards a teacher.
Materials
Any materials we provide are for the student’s personal learning only and may not be resold or redistributed.
Things outside our control
Lessons depend on a working internet connection at both ends. We are not responsible for problems caused by your internet, device or power supply, though we will always try to reschedule a lesson lost this way.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Changes apply from the date they are published on this page and never retrospectively to lessons already paid for.
